Job Summary:The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide routine physical therapy treatments to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Implement physical therapy treatment plans as described by a physical therapist's written plan of care.
- Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT, modifying treatments only as allowed by the plan of care.
- Monitor patient's condition and progress towards treatment goals.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising physical therapist, patient/caregiver, and other professional colleagues.
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant or a physical therapist program.
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
- Current Certification in Basic Life Support.
