Pipefitter Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter I to join our team in Chula Vista, CA. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, removing, modifying and repairing piping and hoses, as well as laying out, templating, and targeting pipe for welding/brazing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, install, remove, modify and repair piping and hoses; layout, template, and target pipe for welding/brazing
• Experience working on all classes of ships (CVN, CG, DDG, SSN)
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals, and lead and supervise their implementation

Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years of experience
• Experience working in a shipyard / ship repair environment
• A US Citizen with a Clean Background and able to pass a Drug Screen
• High school diploma or GED equivalence

Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 per hour. All eligible full time employees will receive Paid Annual Leave (PAL) starting at 23 days per year and raising by one day per year following one full calendar year of employment. They will also be offered health benefits and will be automatically enrolled in employer paid short and long term disability and life insurance.
