Educational Interventionist

This occupational therapist position requires a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans that promote student participation and independence.
Responsibilities- Evaluate students through observation, record review, and parent/teacher interviews to identify areas of need
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy intervention strategies to address specific skills and abilities
- Collaborate with school teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans
- Provide direct supervision of occupational therapy assistants as needed
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
- Current Illinois license to practice occupational therapy
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
