We are seeking a skilled Fleet Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team at Utilities Service Co Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel with maintenance-related supplies to dispersed equipment and perform on-site maintenance activities on all machinery and vehicles.
- Monitor inventory, inspect vehicles, and perform preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
- Communicate with team members and clients to coordinate and schedule PM activities in an efficient manner.
- Operate and inspect machines or vehicles to diagnose defects or functionality problems and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records in written or electronic form.
- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
- Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance scheduling.
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of journeyman level mechanic experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Rarely: walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, seeing distant, climbing on/off truck, climbing, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, balancing, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally: standing, stooping, body twisting, gripping, reaching, range of motion, climbing stairs.
- Frequently: sitting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, reading, hearing-speech range.
- Constantly: seeing.
