About the Role

University Health is seeking a skilled Expressive Therapist to join our Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will plan and implement Recreation, Music, Art, and/or Dance and Movement Therapy interventions to enhance physical, cognitive, social, and affective development and to facilitate daily living and community functioning skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Lead Expressive Therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in supervision and training of Expressive Therapy students
Requirements
  • Graduation from a college program with a major in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Dance and Movement Therapy
  • Current certification or registry in Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Dance and Movement Therapy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BCLS or HeartSaver certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in Artistic Expressive Therapy
