Patient Care Technician Job Description

At Powers Health, we are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of a staff nurse, facilitate the provision of patient care by performing specific tasks and ensuring the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to hospital policies and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course or recognized equivalent, and current valid State certification.
  • One year of satisfactory work experience as a nurse assistant, with current valid State certification strongly recommended.
  • Ability to maintain current CPR certification and complete Annual Skills and OSA validations, as well as Safety and Infection Control procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
