Job Title: Mental Health Tech

Join our team at Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, a multi-discipline behavioral healthcare center providing mental health services to the communities of surrounding Augusta, Georgia.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our team. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting the care and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned
  • Participate in treatment planning
  • Assist in the admission process
  • Orient new patients to the unit and their program
  • Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions
  • Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be at least 21 years of age
  • Associates or Bachelors level education in a human service related field
  • Valid driver's license with no suspensions or tickets for major traffic violations for at least three years
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire
  • Willingness to become certified in therapeutic restraint technique program
