We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care and support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Routine Care: Administer medications, take vital signs, and provide general observation of clients' health status.
- Assist RN and Physician: Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and physician to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate with Clients and Families: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, families, and guardians to ensure their needs are met.
- Report Changes and Incidents: Accurately document and report any changes in clients' health status, incidents, or concerns to the RN and operations leadership.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Activities: Contribute to quarterly quality improvement activities, weekly team meetings, and Interdisciplinary Team meetings to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Education: Completion of a state-approved training program (e.g., diploma, associate's degree, etc.)
- License and Certification: Current LPN licensure in good standing, CPR certification
- Experience: At least 6 months of direct nursing experience, preferably in providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities or related disorders
- Skills: Ability to use a computer, communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, and work independently
ResCare Community Living has four decades of experience in the disability services field, providing support to individuals who need assistance with daily living due to an intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disability. Our community living services are provided in 27 states with several thousand programs and a comprehensive range of high-quality services.
