Position Overview

SAIC is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to support our NIWC PAC client. This role involves designing, planning, configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and bespoke toolsets to mitigate vulnerabilities and implement security measures. Candidate must be located in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative deployable solutions for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), both automated and manual.
  • Conduct thorough Information Assurance assessments and application scanning utilizing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Security Compliance Automated Protocol (SCAP), delivering detailed outputs of services and protocols.
  • Evaluate and analyze COTS and GOTS applications to ensure proper accreditation, software rationalization, licensing verification, version control, and vendor maintenance or Program of Record (POR) support.
  • Execute functional and security testing of Enterprise Applications to ensure compliance with the current approved and accredited operating systems, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Workstation Baseline software prior to application packaging for network deployment.
  • Assess software for Enterprise Applications and devise a technical strategy for deploying software in a single electronically deployable package or a hosted virtual application across the designated network, along with creating straightforward local installation procedures for field implementation.
  • Provide comprehensive patch management support for all authorized Enterprise Applications.
  • Support Tier IV for new applications by documenting findings, fixes, and recommendations in the Remedy system.
  • Deliver software support for all newly approved Enterprise Applications to rectify production software deficiencies.
  • Facilitate Security Assessments by ensuring new applications are prepared for Information Assurance (IA) security evaluations and adhere to compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors to address any initial findings from IA security reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to Security Requirements Guides (SRG) or Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and provide constructive feedback to the Security Engineering and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) Teams for new Enterprise Applications.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ is a must).
  • Experience with SCCM/MECM is essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in application testing, including Pre/Post Scans, ACAS, STIG, etc.
  • Ability to create installation and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, software applications, and network systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Compensation: Target salary range is $80,001 - $120,000, reflecting typical salary expectations based on experience and other factors.
