Position: Nursing Supervisor

Travel Requirements: 80% within state/Hybrid

Compensation: $70,000 annually

Are you seeking a role that allows you to leverage your nursing expertise while making a significant impact in the lives of others? As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering nursing services, providing training, and offering guidance to meet the medical and psychiatric needs of individuals facing developmental disabilities, substance use challenges, and emotional or behavioral issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for individuals referred to our programs and collaborate with leadership to assess suitability for community integration.
  • Engage in the creation and execution of personalized service plans, overseeing the medical aspects in partnership with healthcare professionals; regularly review and update nursing care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards by maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including medication administration documentation.
  • Design and implement tailored training programs for individuals receiving services, staff, and family members as necessary.
  • Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), including performance assessments, scheduling, and ongoing support; address employee relations matters as they arise.
  • Facilitate medical training sessions and provide CPR/First Aid instruction as required.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate the medical needs of individuals and develop ongoing health care protocols.
  • Manage high-risk medical conditions and coordinate private duty nursing services as needed.
  • Maintain communication with primary care providers and specialists, attending medical appointments when necessary.
  • Promote health and wellness initiatives, implementing preventative measures to reduce falls and health complications.
  • Administer medications following established protocols and ensure thorough documentation for compliance.
  • Actively engage in team meetings and committees focused on health and safety, human rights, and administration.
  • Provide guidance on home care issues related to durable medical equipment.
  • Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation and transportation for individuals to essential activities.
  • Participate in the on-call system as required.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid state RN license.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with complex medical needs.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance if transportation is provided.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport.
  • Self-driven and detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize effectively.
