Job Title: CNC Machinist II

Pyrotek is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II to join our team. As a CNC Machinist II, you will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
  • Plan complex machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations, and machining parameters.
  • Ensure successful continuous learning by actively training team members on Pyrotek equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Regularly evaluate new equipment, software, fixturing, tooling, and clamping to reduce cost, improve safety, improve quality, and improve throughput of product manufactured in the shop.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Machining Technology, plus six (6) years of CNC machining experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Machining/Programming Skills: Advance CNC Machining/Programming knowledge, skills, and abilities to ensure proficiency in performing complex CNC machining projects.
  • Training: The knowledge, skills, ability, and willingness to invest in training team members skills for the growth of the department and company.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic HS level math skills required, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Working Environment:

Works in a manufacturing environment where team member is frequently exposed to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
