Department: Adult CT Scan

Description:

Under the guidance of a mentor or preceptor, this entry-level position will work to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The primary goal is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases.

Required Experience:

Based on specific assignment, the ideal candidate will possess skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, positioning of patients, and medical ethics. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions, consistently and dependably reporting to work as scheduled. Additionally, the ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs is essential.

Required Education:

An Associate's degree or higher is preferred. The candidate must be a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program with an emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by the ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI. BLS must be current upon hire, and the candidate must meet applicant eligibility requirements for CT Certification, to be achieved within 12 months of hire date.
