Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Collaborates with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for coordinating care, resident assessment, resident education, and various other nursing interventions.
May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. Provides adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe and reliable administration of resident care.
Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.
