As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and safety of personnel, maintaining the quality of our products, and driving departmental performance to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute manufacturing schedules based on requirements from management.
  • Lead a team of unionized workers in the manufacture and assembly of cores, coils, woodwork electrical connections, and other related tasks.
  • Maintain the forecast and schedule for the department, ensuring alignment with project workload and constraint dates.
  • Implement productivity-based norms to determine the efficiency of personnel and optimize production processes.
  • Plan shift work and allocate resources to maximize Finish time, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and protocols, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with other supervision and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Analyze production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Regularly inspect and evaluate products for quality and defects, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in production processes.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members, promoting growth and skill enhancement.
  • Partner with design, modification, and installation of specialized equipment to optimize production processes.
  • Lead and improve team performance through daily communication, coaching, and feedback.
  • Analyze potential problems, provide options, and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a safe, neat, and clean work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
  • Develop and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and address production issues.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and lead internal projects to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Lead 5S initiatives to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts, including turns ratio, EMF, Ohm's law, Lenz's law, and circuit theory.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and programming.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Power Systems course or Electrical Course work preferred.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to loud noise levels, extreme temperatures, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to lift 60 lbs., stand for long periods, and operate hand and power tools. A high level of concentration and attention to detail is required to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

This is a Monday through Friday position, with on-call requirements and shift, weekend, and overtime as needed. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
