Job Title: Bulk Material Handler
Location: Onsite
Job Type: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts
Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, packaging products, and maintaining accurate inventory records in our enterprise resource planning system. This role requires working in a chemical plant environment and adhering to safety and good manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming raw materials and load finished products into truck trailers.
- Ensure proper documentation is received before unloading/loading.
- Obtain samples for quality control testing.
- Complete entries for inventory and invoice processing.
- Handle hazardous materials and conduct physical inventories.
- Package products into various containers (bags, drums, totes).
- Maintain daily production logs and housekeeping of work areas.
- Assist operations and warehouse personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is preferred.
- The ability to pass forklift certification.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a chemical plant or related industry.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems and distributed control systems is a plus.
- Strong math skills and time management abilities.
- The ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable working around chemicals with appropriate personal protective equipment.
- The ability to perform duties during prolonged physical activity (e.g., 12-hour shifts).
