About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Microbiology Scientist I to join our cannabis testing laboratory startup. Located in Arizona, Nova Analytic Labs is expanding its services to provide high-quality testing for recreational and medicinal cannabis and hemp products.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess sound scientific knowledge, management skills, and an eye for continuous improvement. Flexibility and dedication are a must.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for day-to-day receipt and analysis of samples.
  • Perform extractions and prepare samples for analysis on LC/MS, GC/MS, and ICP/MS.
  • Maintain equipment logs and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for data entry of samples in the lab.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or one year of experience in a high-complexity laboratory.
  • High school diploma with at least two years of experience in a high-complexity laboratory.
  • Some experience with LC/MS, GC/MS, and ICP/MS preferred.
What We Offer:
  • $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
