Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team at Student Transportation of America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex operations on large commercial vehicles, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections
• Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation
• Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed, with direction from the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform complex operations, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs, and field tests
• Perform emergency roadside services as needed
• Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical defects
• Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately
• Maintain tools and workplaces in a neat and orderly condition

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic preferred
• Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred
• Complete all training requirements
• Pre-employment background checks
