Job Summary

As a skilled Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in the Imaging Department at Granville Health System. Under the direction of a Radiologist and accountable to the Director of Imaging, you will independently perform a variety of OB, Vascular, and abdominal studies that require independent judgment and minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and optimal image quality.
  • Perform a range of diagnostic ultrasound exams, including adult and pediatric abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies.
  • Assist the attending radiologist with interventional procedures, such as biopsies, fluid aspirations, and drain placements.
  • Collaborate with peers to schedule and coordinate daily workload, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Communicate exam findings to radiologists, summarizing results on report worksheets and providing clear impressions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new procedures and technologies, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of ultrasonography or equivalent experience.
  • Current ARDMS registration or eligibility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining accurate records.
