Surgery Partners is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Circulating Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
Responsibilities- Preoperative Preparation: Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and review medical histories to ensure accurate and comprehensive care.
- Perioperative Care: Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Postoperative Care: Assist with patient recovery, monitor for complications, and provide education to patients and families on postoperative care and instructions.
- Communication: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical histories, surgical procedures, and postoperative care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Current Registered Nurse License and current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to assess and problem-solve, respond to emergencies, and practice within legal and ethical guidelines.
This position requires standing for 66-100% of the workday, with occasional sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs. The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to temperature extremes, fumes, dust, and noise.
