Position Overview:
Atlantic Health System is in search of a Per Diem Patient Experience Liaison to join our Greeter/Screener Department. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, guests, and visitors with a warm smile as they arrive.
- Utilize Epic software to assist guests in locating patient units and room numbers.
- Facilitate vendor check-ins and coordinate with security upon their arrival.
- Manage phone inquiries and direct calls as necessary.
- Track visitor exceptions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor waiting areas to uphold social distancing protocols.
- Coordinate the delivery of flowers and gifts to patient rooms.
- Engage with patients in waiting areas near the information desk.
- Request transport services as needed to assist patients in navigating the facility.
- Maintain a professional and engaging dialogue with patients and their families to enhance their experience.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as required to promote exceptional patient experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required to maintain a safe environment for our patients.
- A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, or the candidate must obtain it within two years of employment.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or hospitality is preferred.
