Job Summary

The Emerson Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients through the development, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition care plans. Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, this role requires knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span and the ability to analyze data, assess nutrition status, and formulate nutrition care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients with various health conditions.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and provide education to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and make recommendations for nutrition-related interventions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in nutrition therapy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition required.
  • One year accredited internship or equivalent required, as approved by the American Dietetic Association.
  • Registered dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or registry-eligible with registration attained within 1 year of hire.
  • Current license as a Dietitian in Massachusetts required within 1 year of hire.
  • Strong clinical skills and judgment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
