Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

At Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with supervising physicians to manage the care of complex acutely ill patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Directly manage the care of complex acutely ill patients via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices.
  • Provide quality care, perform patient assessments, H&Ps, and take a thorough medical history.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, develop medical diagnoses, and create appropriate treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medical regimens, educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care, and perform approved procedures.
  • Work directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients, and families to ensure quality of care across the health system.
  • Integrate evidence-based practice and technological advances into your scope of practice.
  • Participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice.
Requirements:
  • Oncology experience required.
  • Qualified APRNs will require a Masters Degree, Valid Florida APRN License, Nurse Practitioner National certification, DEA License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, and 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Qualified PAs will require an Associated Degree (Masters Degree preferred), Valid Florida PA License, NCCPA Certification, DEA License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, and 1 year of experience.
