Care Management Supervisor

Job Overview
The CMA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Care Management team, ensuring seamless communication between team members, patients, and healthcare providers. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality patient care, adhering to regulatory requirements, and driving process improvements within the team.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide CMAs in navigating new workflows and processes to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate tracking of determination letters and conduct thorough reviews before mailing.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Develop and implement training programs for CMAs, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Ensure staff adherence to regulatory requirements, best practices, and internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with departmental goals and objectives.
- Promote a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate's Degree required; or High School Degree or evidence of having passed a High School Equivalency Program and 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a managed care organization required; additional experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and managed care operational policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Compensation Package
This position comes with an estimated annual salary of $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience, along with a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
