The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Surveyor to join our team. As a Laboratory Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting and investigating healthcare facilities and services to determine compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct on-site inspections of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with regulations
- Investigate complaints and allegations of non-compliance
- Prepare comprehensive reports and submit complete and correct packets and paperwork timely
- Provide consultation, technical assistance, and interpretations to providers
- Participate and attend training programs, conferences, and meetings
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in microbiology, chemistry, biology, medical technology, or related field
- Three years of professional experience in a laboratory performing tests in microbiology, serology, chemistry, hematology, and immunohematology
Work typically involves daily contact with physicians, hospital administrators, and laboratory personnel. Considerable travel is necessary.
Probationary Period:This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
