Laboratory Surveyor

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Surveyor to join our team. As a Laboratory Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting and investigating healthcare facilities and services to determine compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Conduct on-site inspections of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with regulations
• Investigate complaints and allegations of non-compliance
• Prepare comprehensive reports and submit complete and correct packets and paperwork timely
• Provide consultation, technical assistance, and interpretations to providers
• Participate and attend training programs, conferences, and meetings

• Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in microbiology, chemistry, biology, medical technology, or related field
• Three years of professional experience in a laboratory performing tests in microbiology, serology, chemistry, hematology, and immunohematology

Work typically involves daily contact with physicians, hospital administrators, and laboratory personnel. Considerable travel is necessary.

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
