Wound Care Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our team at The Quarters at Des Peres. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, promoting their independence, and supporting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat residents with wounds, including pressure ulcers, ostomies, and skin breakdowns
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote wound healing and prevent re-emergence
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Provide education and support to residents and their families on wound care and management
  • Conduct regular assessments and document resident progress
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Current LPN or RN license in Missouri
  • WOCN certification in good standing
  • Valid CPR certification
  • One year of nursing experience in a long-term care center (preferred)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
