About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist to provide exceptional rehabilitative care to patients in an inpatient rehab setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning:
- Evaluate patients to identify movement dysfunctions and develop individualized treatment plans that set realistic and measurable goals to improve patients' physical function and quality of life.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other evidence-based treatments to help patients achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies to promote long-term recovery and success.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and effective communication.
- Provide progress updates and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and therapy best practices to promote a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with advances in physical therapy techniques and treatments through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in rehabilitation and patient care.
- Education:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Licensure:
- Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the State of Kansas.
- Certification:
- Current CPR certification (AHA or equivalent).
- Experience:
- Experience in an inpatient rehab setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
