Job Title: Infusion Nurse Clinician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Nurse Clinician to join our team at PromptCare Companies Inc. As an Infusion Nurse Clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

The Infusion Nurse Clinician will work closely with patients, families, and our Intake and Sales teams to facilitate patient discharge and coordination of care in the home. This role requires a strong understanding of infusion therapy and the ability to educate patients and families on therapy management, side effects, and other pertinent issues.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial nursing assessments and evaluations to qualify patients for appropriateness and safety of home infusion therapy
  • Train patients and/or caregivers in all procedures and equipment
  • Develop and revise, when necessary, the patient's plan of care with the patient, family, PromptCare/ARJ Pharmacist, and physician
  • Provide direct patient care as ordered and allowed by state law
  • Assume on-call responsibility as assigned on a routine basis
  • Counsel patients on therapy management, side effects, and other pertinent issues relative to the patient's disease/condition and other concerns based on manufacturer guidelines and co-morbidities
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacist for clinical recommendations for a change to therapy or other supportive measures to enhance the patient's response to therapy, as appropriate
Requirements
  • Must be a Registered Nurse in New York State with a license in good standing
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • CPR Certification
  • At least 2 years' experience as a home infusion nurse, or equivalent experience working in another field-based home nursing organization, is required
  • IV and PICC certification is strongly preferred
