Electrical Assembler 3 Job Description

At Point Eight Power, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Assembler 3 to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler 3, you will be responsible for providing high-quality craftsmanship in all electrical assembly techniques to contribute to our team's goal of achieving industry-leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and reducing per unit costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute workmanship on production projects, including large line-ups and complex sections, with a basic level of proficiency.
  • Install all types of electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures per drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
  • Prep and install electrical components, switches, meters, breaker cells, breakers, nameplates, sensors, etc. by reading and comprehending drawing packages, layouts, and documents with supervision.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables, saw horses, stools, ladders, drills, hand tools, air and electric power tools, tape measures, etc.
  • Interpret and apply basic electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on component parts, methods, and sequencing.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 months of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience working in an electrical apprenticeship, as an electronic repairman, or HVAC installer.
Qualifications:
