About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist II to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Richmond. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent therapy services to patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including assessment, goal setting, and documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise and mentor students and new staff members
  • Participate in departmental projects and events
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • CCC certification from ASHA
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar setting
  • Previous experience with evaluation and treatment of neurogenic, motor speech, linguistic/cognitive communication disorders, and swallowing disorders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar setting
  • Previous experience with trach management, complex swallowing and communication disorders, and dysphasia
  • Experience with computer-based documentation systems
