The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000 - $300,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Hospitalist Physician with ProLocums, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, develop treatment plans, and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the hospital setting, including evaluating patients, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, specialists, and pharmacists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and conferences to stay up-to-date on patient care and share best practices
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient encounters, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans and progress

Requirements

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or related specialty
  • Valid license to practice medicine in the state where employed
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Clean background check and no history of malpractice claims
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary credentials
