**Job Summary**

Thomas & Hutton is a multidisciplinary design firm seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Architect to join our team in Chamblee or Buford, Georgia. As a member of our landscape architecture department, the successful candidate will work collaboratively in an interactive studio environment throughout all phases of multiple projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Project management, including coordination with clients, design teams, permitting jurisdictions, and contractors
  • Design (schematic, design development, and construction level), preparation of construction plans, specifications, reports, studies, cost estimates, and permit applications
  • Mentoring and technical oversight of junior and mid-level staff
  • Business development activities, including networking, proposal preparation, interviewing, and fee negotiation
  • Preparation and review of deliverables, including reports, cost estimates, renderings, plans, and specifications

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university or college
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect, including experience with planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types
  • Registration as a Landscape Architect is required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead presentations in both public and private settings
  • Experience with leading projects through design review, entitlement, or other similar public approval processes
  • Demonstrated experience with industry software applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Design Suite, Sketch-up, Lumion, and all Microsoft Office programs)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Land and site planning design experience
