Job Overview

The Night Audit position at StepStone Hospitality Inc. is essential for ensuring the accuracy of daily financial operations and maintaining high standards of guest service.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration

  • Compile and analyze daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by reviewing Micros tapes and journals to categorize revenue, covers, waitstaff fees, tips, and settlements.
  • Generate audit reports and records from all credit card and computer systems.
  • Input financial data, including revenue and expenses, to produce necessary daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and Daily Restaurant Summary.
  • Reconcile all revenue and settlement accounts each night, maintain organized files, and prepare the system for the following day's operations.

Operational Support

  • Address and rectify any discrepancies or computer-related issues that may occur.
  • Distribute all relevant documentation and reports of daily activities to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure completeness and proper filing of all reports and backup vouchers.
  • Review and amend any inconsistencies in the Front Desk System.
  • Collaborate with the front desk and restaurant/bar teams to ensure smooth operations and system resets for the next day.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
  • Assist in the creation and preparation of statistical reports and presentations as required.
  • Perform duties related to front desk supervision, guest services, reservations, and telephone operations as necessary.
  • Provide accurate reporting of information.
  • Strictly follow all policies and procedures set forth by StepStone Hospitality.
  • Participate in mandatory hotel meetings.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Physical capabilities including pushing, bending, stooping, and manual dexterity.
  • Proficient in hearing, writing, and typing.
  • Ability to pull a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or General Manager.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of service standards, guest relations, and professional etiquette.
  • Have knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the English language for effective communication with guests and team members.
  • Exhibit strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • High school diploma and relevant training or experience are required; additional education is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to obtain any necessary licenses or certifications in a timely manner.
  • CPR and first aid training are preferred.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
