As a key member of our team at Wayne Farms LLC, the Retention Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our probationary employees. This role will involve conducting job previews for hourly applicants, identifying training needs, and providing support to line leaders and supervisors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to engage employees, and possess basic computer and math skills. Additionally, the ability to work in a hot or cold and wet environment, stand for an 8-hour shift, and work non-standard hours is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct job previews for hourly applicants to ensure they understand the physical requirements and environment of the position
- Identify training needs through discussions with leaders and provide support to line leaders and supervisors
- Partner with HR Coordinator or Recruiter to schedule job previews and ensure a smooth onboarding process
- Promote employee recognition throughout the production department
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate and comprehend English; ability to communicate in two or more languages preferred
- Basic computer and math skills
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a hot or cold and wet environment
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to work non-standard hours (holidays, weekends, and extended shifts) as needed
