About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to support our project team in executing activities to support the construction of assigned projects and ensure work performed is in conformance with project objectives and construction documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects, including developing project timelines, resource allocation, and work schedules.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Support the preparation and review of technical documents, including blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
  • Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met, communicating progress updates to the project team and other relevant parties.
  • Perform tasks such as:
    • Bid package development
    • Bid review
    • Subcontractor selection and oversight
    • Executing the submittal and RFI review process
    • Equipment purchase, receiving process, and installation oversight
    • Construction schedule development
    • Estimate development
    • Supporting site safety
    • Closeout documentation
    • Supporting cost management activities

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Construction Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) is required.
  • Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights are essential.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, and contractors) is required.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications is a must.
  • Willingness to travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Construction/Project Management tools and software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations is preferred.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in the Construction industry or related field is preferred.

Additional Information

The pay range for this position is typically $22.00/hr-$25.00/hr. A housing stipend is available for students whose permanent residence exceeds 40 miles of the office.
