Job Title: School Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and skilled School Custodian to join our team at Valparaiso Community School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our schools.

About the Job:

The School Custodian will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including cleaning, repairing, and maintaining school facilities. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, as well as emptying trash and recycling bins. Additionally, the School Custodian will be responsible for ensuring that all school equipment is in good working order and making repairs as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Salary:

$17.08/hour, plus $1.62/hour in benefits
