We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Planet Fitness. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a positive member experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Club Cleanliness and Maintenance: Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment, and gym floors in accordance with Planet Fitness standards and guidelines.
  • Stocking and Supplies: Stock locker rooms with proper supplies and paper products.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager immediately.
  • Lost and Found: Follow the Lost and Found Policy and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other cleaning duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Criminal Background Check: Applicants for an overnight position must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire.
  • Custodial Experience: Custodial experience is preferred.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Honesty and Work Ethic: Honesty and a strong work ethic are required.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Diplomacy and Communication: Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
  • Education and Age: High School diploma or GED equivalent required; must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
  • Work Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor field environment.
  • Travel: Travel from site to site may be required.
  • Exposure to Hazards: Exposure to noise, dust, grease, gasses, cleaning chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
  • Physical Abilities: Requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.
  • Communication: Verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • CPR Certification: Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Vision and Hearing: Must be able to see and hear in the normal visual and audio range with or without correction.
