Job Description

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team in Smyrna, Georgia.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, adhering to The Joint Commission and CMS standards of care, for individuals struggling with chemical dependency, substance abuse, or addiction.

We offer a comprehensive continuum of mental health and substance abuse treatment services, based on a commitment to excellence and quality care for our patients and their loved ones.

Located on a 37-acre wooded campus in Smyrna, GA, Ridgeview Institute provides a safe and caring environment with Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Counselors, Activity Therapists, and Mental Health Technicians.

Treatment services include inpatient and outpatient services, as well as aftercare.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience and expertise in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs, and substance abuse are essential.

You must be in the process of obtaining a substance abuse license/certificate as dictated by the State of Georgia or equivalent, and a Master's License in Social Work or Counseling is preferred.

CPR/First Aid and CPI Training may be required, and you may need to work flexible hours and overtime.
