Seacoast Mental Health Center is a nonprofit organization that provides vital services to adults with mental illness in our community. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Support Specialist - Mental Health Advocacy.

Job Summary

As a Community Support Specialist - Mental Health Advocacy, you will be responsible for coordinating services and providing direct support, advocacy, and assertive outreach to adults with mental illness. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating services and providing direct support to adults with mental illness
• Providing advocacy and assertive outreach to adults with mental illness
• Working collaboratively with the Adult Services Department to ensure seamless support services
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting
• Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions

• Must also demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• The Community Support Specialist must hold a valid driver's license and be able to demonstrate a "clean" driving record
• CPR/First Aid training is recommended

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or the equivalent
• One year of experience working in the field, preferably in mental health services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. The Community Support Specialist - Mental Health Advocacy will work primarily in the Exeter office, with occasional travel to other locations.
