About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing various imaging exams used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries. This includes preparing patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, and implementing radiation protection and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging exams to aid in diagnosing and treating illnesses, including CT scans and other radiologic procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams by positioning them correctly and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Assist physicians in special and advanced procedures as needed.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiology certification program or registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • No prior experience required.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, shift differentials may be available for night, weekend, and additional shifts.
