Key Responsibilities
  • Teach mortuary science courses, including embalming, restorative arts, and funeral service management

  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in mortuary science education
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a subject area within the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE) curriculum or a Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science. A Master's degree in the teaching discipline is preferred. You must also be currently licensed by the Texas Funeral Service Commission (TFSC) as both a funeral director and embalmer or meet the TFSC's requirements for immediate reciprocation of both licenses.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of continuous full-time employment with embalming and preparation room experience, post-secondary teaching experience, and a Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited university in the teaching discipline are preferred.
