Job Title: Welder ll

At Mettler-Toledo, we are seeking a skilled Welder ll to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication shop, you will be responsible for preparing and welding metal components to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble weldments from engineering drawings with precision and accuracy
  • Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, and covers to meet customer requirements
  • Operate TIG/MIG welders, setup, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform grain finishing and achieve high-quality finishes
  • Control raw material inventory using shop routers and computer systems
  • Cut raw material per engineering drawings with precision and accuracy
  • Group required parts prescribed in BOM and prepare for welding
  • Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders to ensure efficient production
  • Follow SOP and OPLs to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
  • Proficient blueprint and tape measure knowledge with attention to dimensions and tolerances
  • Fabrication shop practices and knowledge of metalworking techniques
  • Ability to perform all Welder 1 tasks when necessary
  • Organizational proficiency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade School or Apprentice Program or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
