Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing quality nutrition care and education to patients and family members of the Mount Sinai Dialysis Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nutrition Assessment and Planning: Assess the nutritional status of patients and recommend the appropriate nutrition therapy as it pertains to the patients' nutritional needs.
  • Nutrition Counseling: Provide nutrition counseling to patients and family members as indicated.
  • Quality Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition care plans and recommend changes as needed.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team.
  • Discharge Planning: Assist with discharge planning as needed.
Requirements
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian, not including dietetic internship.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
