We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician II-Certified to join our team at Novant Health, where they will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through optimal medication management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy skills, including non-sterile compounding and repackaging, as well as experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management. Proficiency in EPIC/Patient Management system is also essential for this role.
About the Role- Process and fill prescriptions efficiently and accurately.
- Perform non-sterile compounding and repackaging tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and referring them to pharmacists when necessary.
- Support shipping of medications and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations.
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute setting, with 1 year of experience in sterile compounding (of IV and/or chemotherapy admixture) for outpatient oncology roles.
- PCTB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPEGG/FPGEC required.
- A minimum of 1 relevant specialized certificate/certification from approved vendors such as PTCB, BPTS, or NPTA required.
