We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Sales Tax Associate to join our team at TD SYNNEX. As a key member of our tax compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with established parameters to minimize potential tax exposure for our company and its subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist management in monitoring CIS order screens and initiating/responding to interdepartmental contacts.
- Aid in training sales tax staff and reviewing/resolving discrepancies on customer accounts and tax documentation.
- Prepare and maintain reports, special projects, and duties as assigned by management, including self-audits, sales and use audits.
- Act as a liaison with various departments and customers to address sales tax issues.
- Maintain flexibility working with state compliance guidelines and stay updated on current state guidelines for all 50 states and Canada.
- Assist management with special projects, audit research, and compilation of customer data for presentation to auditors.
- Ability to assimilate research data from various sources, analyze information, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Ability to perform effectively under stress and pressure, effectively managing high workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in executing instructions, expressing ideas clearly, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Basic mathematical skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- An associate degree in business or a related field is preferred, along with customer service experience.
- Experience in leading/directing workflow of others is advantageous.
