About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team at Chi St. Anthony Hospital. As a Speech Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to patients with speech, language, and cognitive disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct treatment assistance to patients.
  2. Conduct screenings using established protocols and document patient progress without interpretation of findings.
  3. Assist with informal documentation during intervention sessions, prepare materials, and perform clerical duties as specified.
  4. Educate patients and caregivers about program goals, methods, and injury prevention.

Requirements:

  • Apost-secondary training program approved by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • A degree or certification from a regionally-accredited program in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • An ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in SPL.
  • A current OR SPL license.
  • AHA BLS certification within one month of hire.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
