Communication Disorder Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team at Chi St. Anthony Hospital. As a Speech Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to patients with speech, language, and cognitive disorders.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct treatment assistance to patients.
- Conduct screenings using established protocols and document patient progress without interpretation of findings.
- Assist with informal documentation during intervention sessions, prepare materials, and perform clerical duties as specified.
- Educate patients and caregivers about program goals, methods, and injury prevention.
Requirements:
- Apost-secondary training program approved by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- A degree or certification from a regionally-accredited program in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- An ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in SPL.
- A current OR SPL license.
- AHA BLS certification within one month of hire.
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
