Role Summary:

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting and interpreting tests on patient samples utilizing advanced laboratory methodologies. This role is crucial in providing healthcare professionals with vital information to support patient diagnosis. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with our core values and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

For Medical Laboratory Technician:
  • Education: Associate degree in a relevant field recognized by a certification body for MLT
  • Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent

OR

For Medical Technologist I:
  • Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
  • Approved Military Training (if applicable)
OR

For Medical Technologist II:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
