We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Folsom. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining public order, preventing crime, and enforcing laws and regulations in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and enforce traffic laws and regulations
- Investigate crimes, including felonies, misdemeanors, and City ordinances
- Conduct follow-up investigations and gather evidence
- Make arrests and detain suspects
- Participate in community crime prevention programs and activities
- Valid State of California Basic POST Certificate or equivalent
- At least one year of recent, full-time sworn law enforcement experience in a recognized law enforcement agency
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid California Class C driver's license or higher

Additionally, police officers receive bilingual pay, FTO pay, and special assignments such as bicycle, K-9, investigations, motors, mounted, school resource, and SWAT.
Working ConditionsPolice officers work a variety of shift schedules, including 8, 9, 10, and 12-hour shifts, and may be required to work irregular hours, holidays, and weekends. They may also be exposed to wide temperature swings, inclement weather, and low to moderate noise levels.
