Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated Clinical Registered Dietitian who is passionate about serving the pediatric population to join our Nutritional Services Department.

This role is per diem, non-exempt, and eligible for benefits. The compensation for this position is $61.20 per hour, with pay determined by experience and departmental equity.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will deliver clinical nutrition services and care to pediatric patients facing various diagnoses and levels of acuity, while also providing education and counseling to patients and their families regarding specific dietary needs and general nutrition.
  • Conducts thorough nutritional assessments for assigned pediatric patients with diverse diagnoses and acuity levels.
  • Creates individualized nutritional care plans based on findings from nutritional screenings and assessments, and monitors hospital patients accordingly.
  • Oversees the activities of Dietary Clerks and Volunteers.
  • Contributes to the development of patient cycle menus that encourage healthy choices in line with U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
  • Manages inventory of clinical supplies necessary for service delivery and consults with management as needed.
This list is not exhaustive; the incumbent may be required to undertake additional related tasks and engage in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Must possess current Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials from the Commission of Dietetics Registration. Bilingual abilities and prior experience in a pediatric hospital setting are preferred.

Required:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical environment.

Preferred:

Experience in pediatric care.
