Position Overview
A Dietitian 2 is an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for delivering Medical Nutrition Therapy. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to address nutrition support requests, as well as planning and overseeing the preparation of specialized diets and menus.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food preparation practices.
- Educate and assist individuals, families, and staff in developing tailored nutrition care plans.
- Supervise and mentor dietetic interns and technicians, providing guidance in Medical Nutrition Therapy and food preparation techniques.
- Oversee a small food service unit, ensuring quality and efficiency in food preparation.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or certification from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) in dietetics-nutrition.
- A minimum of 400 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the guidance of an RD, in addition to the 800 hours required for NYSED certification.
