**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Quincy, Michigan. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for using machine tools to produce precision metal parts that meet precise specifications.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 2nd shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You will be part of a dynamic team reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead and will work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Review work schedules, electronic or written blueprints, or specifications for jobs and check supplies required to perform the work.
  • Machine parts and other requested items meeting departmental specifications, assist in continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Assist trades personnel with repairs, replacements, adjustments, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, piping, etc., as directed.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and grinding production equipment, parts, machinery, and tools.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in parts fabrication/machinist or equivalent education.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use CAD software.
  • Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding to Sanitary Design Standards.
  • Certification in welding preferred.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is $38.35 per hour, plus a $0.20 shift differential, totaling approximately $40.55 per hour. This estimate may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
